Terms of use

This page summarises how transactions on Dalor work. The summary does not replace the terms and conditions.

Last updated:

Anyone can create a Dalor account with an email address and password and rent or buy; only verified users can publish listings and receive payouts. Payment runs through Dalor, which holds the money until the handover or return is confirmed with photos and a 24-hour window has passed. Refunds after payment follow the listing’s cancellation policy, and Dalor support decides disputes.

The binding text will be published here by the operator.

Where can I find the full terms?

The operator will publish the full terms and conditions (AGB) on this page. The summary below describes how the platform works and is not a contractual text.

Who can use Dalor?

You only need an email address and password to create an account. Dalor assigns your username automatically, and you can change it.

There are three account types: private, sole trader and company. To publish listings and receive payouts, you must verify your identity (KYC or KYB).

Which rules apply to listings?

  • A listing can be for rent (daily price), for sale (fixed price) or both.
  • Up to 10 photos, a title of up to 80 characters and a description of up to 4,000 characters.
  • Rental listings state the item’s new value; the daily price is at least 2% of it.
  • Only listings from verified lenders appear in search.
  • Listings can be reported; listings with many reports are removed automatically.
  • Listings with an open dispute are hidden from search.

How does a rental work?

  • The renter sends a request, or books instantly if the listing allows it.
  • The owner accepts; double bookings are technically prevented.
  • The renter pays and Dalor holds the money. The exact address is then shared.
  • The renter confirms the handover with at least one photo, and the owner confirms the return the same way.
  • After a 24-hour window without a dispute, the money goes to the owner’s Dalor wallet.
  • During the rental the renter can buy the item (buyout).

How does a purchase work?

  • The buyer buys at the listed price or makes an offer; counter-offers take turns and must respect the seller’s minimum bid.
  • The buyer pays, collects the item and confirms with at least one photo.
  • 24 hours later the seller receives the money if no dispute is open.

How is payment made and what does it cost?

Payment is by card via Stripe or from the Dalor wallet. Renters and buyers pay a service fee; owners and sellers pay a commission deducted from their payout.

All amounts are shown in a breakdown before payment. Payouts to a bank account carry a fee that is shown before you confirm.

What happens if I cancel?

Either side can cancel before payment. Requests and offers expire if they are not answered in time.

After payment, refunds follow the listing’s cancellation policy: flexible, moderate or strict.

How are disputes decided?

Either side can open one dispute per transaction and add messages and photos. The log cannot be edited or deleted.

Dalor support decides in favour of one side or partly for each. This can include keeping part of a deposit or reversing a payout.

Who can leave a review?

Only people who have completed a transaction. The renter rates the owner and the item, and the owner rates the renter, each with 1 to 5 stars and a comment.
